Ice would be walking through the backstage area, he would be interviewed by small interviewing intern, Micro Cole.
"Can a get a minute of your time, Ice?" said Micro. Ice would stop in his tracks where he stands looking a bit melancholy.
"I have to ask you questions, you haven't won a substantial match in the past couple months." said Micro. "You've had a few match of the year candidates, but you've just not been winning much. What's going on and what are plans for Ice?"
"Well, being that I've lost matches, I've lost matches" said Ice. "What excuse can I make up? I'm just off my game. My only goals are personal ones and I can't even achieve those at the moment but, in due time, maybe that can change. I have a more personal issue to solve, with...someone who says that I'm out of touch and they seem to be indirect with it. Wondering what I've not said much or done much since I've came back. I have to address them. In fact...there they are right now..."
Ice would see Josh walking down the hallway.
"Excuse me, about a month or so back," started Ice, "I didn't want to address this, but did you say that I was a bit out of touch and don't have it in me anymore? That my matches aren't engaging anymore?"
"Uh...maybe?" retorted Josh.
"Look, I don't know what your problem is," said Ice. "but here's the cards: You seem to be the new ace of iTNA, you seem to be the one who had that long title reign and been the rod in the back of iTNA that has supported it. You may have lost, but I felt the energy in you. You do have what it takes to become the fulfilled prophecy of being the new hot shot around here, but you seem to still have a cocky attitude that holds you down."
"You mean like how you've been held down not winning any of your matches...?" said Josh.
"There it goes again." exclaimed Ice. "It's things like that, that will get you lower. You did smack me upside my head with my own fabled weapon a few weeks ago, but, you haven't been too much of a hot shot lately yourself, but you as iTNA champion makes all too much sense in the world. Neither of us can beat the current champion right now, so my thoughts are one of us has to challenge the other to step it up. I need a challenge from someone like you, maybe you can tell me I am out of touch to my face in the ring and teach the old dog some new tricks. How about a match on the next show? 1 on 1 in a traditional match. If you think you're so confident."
"Uh....ok?" said Josh.
"Good, I'll see you later." said Ice.
Ice would walk off camera and Josh would just stand there and looked puzzled. |
